Hello!
My name is Michelle Lyons and I am the freshly appointed chair of public relations for the Hotel Vernon After 9 Poetry Series! Basically, I’ll just be helping get the word out about upcoming readings and let you know about all the fun not to be missed with a brief weekly recap. Also helping me out with be Naomi, who will be taking photos at the readings as she is able to attend.
Last night the Ship room was host to another fine evening of poetry with featured readers Jeff Siegrist and Michael Fischer. Gracing the open mic portion of the evening fellow poets included myself, Naomi Christenson, host Bobby Gibbs, first-timer Craig Semon, Sarah Guimond, and Jessica O’Neill.

Next week’s show (11/5) is a special event hosted by Naomi, Warming Worcester with Words! This reading will benefit the local Worcester PIP shelter and attendees are asked to bring what they can (nonperishable food, clothing, new hygeine products) to donate at the door (no hat will be passed this week). Featured poets scheduled to attend include Jon Wolfe, Tony Brown, Nick Davis, and of course Naomi and Bobby. Come by and help a great cause while you drink in some delicious poetry.
